Our Community day this year will be held on Sunday, 10th May. As with previous years, our celebration will be opened up to the public and will feature a number of local community groups in our talks marquee.

Here’s a little information on our first community group.

Sutton-on-Sea Beachcare

Sutton-on-sea Beachcare is a friendly community litter picking team, based in Sutton-on-sea.  They meet once a month unless more litter is seen and needs moving quickly.

Although they litter-pick the entire town, their main focuses have been beach cleans in time with Marine Conservation events, World Oceans day etc.

Lianne & Jordan are the founding members of Sutton-on-sea Beachcare, and are also currently working on the plastic-free campaign for our area.

You may have heard about the fantastic work Leanne and Jordan have done through recent publications in the local newspapers.

The Beachcare team are always looking for new members. Anyone can join, and their only rule under 16’s must be supervised by an adult. If you would like to learn more about the work Sutton-on-sea Bewachcare are doing, please head on over to their Facebook group at: facebook.com/SuttonOnSeaBeachcare
