Dancing in the Dunes

This Hafla (or get together in celebration) will be a beautiful Fusion of Belly dance with other dance and music disciplines within our dance community. It will be a chance for everyone who loves dance from beginners to those of more advanced abilities to learn and share ideas of both tradition and modern dance to inspire each other in our onward dance journey.

The Hafla event is being held at the Dunes Complex in Mablethorpe and will begin at 11:30 on the 21st March 2020 with a number of workshops throughout the day.

In the evening there are two performances by Holly Cox of Mablethorpe, and the Black Peacocks from Nottingham. Please take a look at our Tickets page to book your place now!

Workshops

2:30 – 3:30 — Holly Cox

Holly Cox is a local Dancer who’s workshop will be an Expressive, Contemporary Belly dance fusion mix. This workshop will be suitable for people all abilities.

4:00 – 5:00 — Black Peacocks

BlackPeacock BellyDance is a tribal style belly dance school based in Nottingham, UK. Directed by Robyn Richardson with assistant-director Charlotte Heloise, BlackPeacock deliver classes in BlackPeacock BellyDance Improvised Tribal Style format and Tribal Fusion. 

 

This event is being held memory of Jane Regler, who sadly passed away on Christmas Day, 2019.

  • Banjo Bob Garrett will be entertaining us between the dances during our event.
